The website and the app

These terms cover the Ear Prompter website at earprompter.app and explain the agreements that apply to the iPhone and iPad app. Ear Prompter is available through the App Store. For questions, get in touch through Support.

Ear Prompter lets you record a guide in your own voice, listen through headphones and record an audio or video take. This website provides product information and help; it does not record your performance.

The separate TellyPrompter browser service has its own terms. Its prices, free allowances and browser features are not the terms of an Ear Prompter App Store purchase.

Your app licence

The Ear Prompter App Store listing uses Apple’s standard End User Licence Agreement. It governs your licence to the app, including permitted use, termination, warranties and liability. This page does not replace that agreement or change Apple’s purchase terms.

Your scripts and recordings

You retain your rights in your scripts, guide reads and takes. You must have permission to use the material you import and to record or share other people’s contributions.

We process content only as needed to provide the features you use, such as syncing scripts for a signed-in Pro account. Guide reads and takes are stored on your device and are not part of account script sync. Device backups may include them, depending on your settings. The Privacy page explains these differences.

Check important recordings before relying on them, and keep copies you need using the export features available on your plan. Script sync is not a backup of your recordings.

Accounts and responsible use

Keep access to your sign-in email and identity-provider accounts secure. Pro purchases are linked to your Ear Prompter account; use the same account when restoring a purchase. Contact Support if something looks wrong.

Use the website and connected services lawfully. Do not interfere with their operation, try to access someone else’s account or use content without the rights or permissions it requires. Access to connected services may be restricted to address misuse or protect other users, subject to applicable law and your purchase rights.

Pro and App Store purchases

The app includes a free allowance and optional Pro features. The Pro screen shows the current features, limits, local price and billing period before you buy. Available plans include quarterly and yearly subscriptions and a one-payment option. The one-payment offer provides Pro for as long as we operate the service; it is not a promise that the service will run forever.

Apple processes in-app purchases. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled. Manage or cancel them in your device’s Settings under your name, then Subscriptions; see Apple’s cancellation instructions. Deleting the app or your Ear Prompter account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

For an Apple purchase, use the app’s refund request option or Apple’s refund process. Apple assesses those requests; a request does not guarantee approval. If you already have Pro from TellyPrompter, manage that purchase with the provider that billed you.

Availability and your rights

Features depend on your device, permissions, audio equipment and, for account services, a working connection. We aim to keep the website and connected services available, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation.

Nothing on this page removes your statutory consumer rights or excludes responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. The app licence and applicable law govern app-related rights and remedies; this page adds no separate cap on liability or restriction on where you may exercise your legal rights.

Changes and questions

We may update this page as the website or service changes. The date above identifies the current wording. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to a purchase, and we will provide notice or seek consent where required by law.
